The client had a list of site amenities to include in this design. A new patio accommodates a dining table and the hot tub, with enough room to upgrade to a larger hot tub in the future. The play structure, trampoline, shed, and raised garden bed are grouped for efficiency and ease of use. Strategically placed shrubs and trees, and a corner pergola with trellis by the hot tub, provide privacy screening. Elements of modern, cottage, and naturalistic design combine to create a unique aesthetic. Informal, mixed plantings, including native plants, create a naturalistic variation on colorful cottage gardens while also providing wildlife habitat.
